This compact DOHC engine works in tandem with the Full Parallel Hybrid System. An electric motor generates an additional 60 hp and 125 lb-ft. Lithium-ion polymer technology controls the electrical-generation process in the battery pack, which has a capacity of 24.7 Ah and 59 kW. Weighing 258 pounds, the Li-ion battery has a maximum rating of 360 v. An on-board charger is standard in this plug-in hybrid Kia car. A storage compartment in the cargo area is dedicated to holding a 120-volt charging cable. You can use the UVO Eco mobile app to remotely schedule the charging of the car from a smartphone. The app also provides real-time notifications on the power of the battery. When you're behind the steering wheel, the Charge Status Indicator appears in the instrument panel. When it comes to the gearbox, this efficient Kia adopts the Sportmatic technology from other models. The Transmission Mounted Electrical Device works with a dual-clutch system to shift among six gear speeds.

The UVO Eco platform is exclusively designed for the 2019 Niro. Having a vivid 8-inch display, the all-new infotainment platform includes the Command-Voice Navigation technology. If you need supplemental directions from Google Maps, connect your smartphone to the Android Auto interface. You may also ask Siri for guidance if your iPhone is properly linked to the Apple CarPlay app. Eight speakers entertain passengers in this plug-in hybrid Kia model. Made by Harman Kardon, the audio system comes with a subwoofer for a true Surround Sound experience. Digital sound processing is optimized by the Clari-Fi technology. You don't need any cords to charge your smartphone because this crossover SUV has a wireless charger. Delivering 115 volts of AC, the car's power inverter has a rating of 150 watts. Dual 12-v ports are conveniently located in the center console. Illuminated by cool green, yellow and other colors, the Supervision Meter Cluster takes up 7 inches in the instrument cluster.
