As a five-seater, the 2019 Kia Optima provides 104.8 cubic feet of passenger volume. Cargo volume is measured at 15.9 cubic feet, with the ability to expand it into the cabin due to the 60/40 split-folding rear seats. Cloth upholstery, an 8-way manually adjustable driver's seat with 2-way power lumbar support, and a 6-way manually adjustable front passenger seat are also standard. The S trim is upgraded with sporty black cloth seat trim, 10-way power on the driver's seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Enhancements like leather seat trim and front-seat heating appear at the EX level, and the SX is unique with its racing-style leather upholstery, front-seat ventilation, rear-seat and steering-wheel heating, and a memory system and 12-way power with 4-way power lumbar support on the driver's seat.

Standard comfort and convenience features on the 2019 Optima include remote keyless entry, six-speaker audio, a 3.5-inch driver information display, Bluetooth wireless technology, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for smartphone integration, Siri Eyes Free, UVO infotainment integration, a USB port and an auxiliary audio jack for connecting mobile devices, and an 8-inch touchscreen. At the S level, the Optima is enhanced with features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, smart key access, push-button engine start, auto-dimming ability on the rearview mirror, and SiriusXM satellite radio service. Dual charging-only USB ports, among other additions, appear on the EX. And exclusive to the SX are top-level enhancements like HD Radio, a 4.3-inch driver information display (in place of the 3.5-inch), a navigation system, and a 10-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound system.
