The 2019 Kia Rio has made its debut as a new Kia vehicle and also a new entry into the Rio model series. As a four door sedan that is in the fourth generation, the Kia Rio underwent a redesign in the previous year and contains some revised features found in the LX and S trim models.

Kia Rio Performance
The performance of the Kia Rio all starts with its engine and capabilities. The engine has a front-wheel drive and a 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission, which is coupled with having a 130 horsepower rating and being able to create up to 119 pounds per feet of torque. The fuel efficiency has seen a slight improvement, now coming in with an EPA of a combined 32 miles per gallon, at 28 MPG on the road and 37 MPG on the highway.
Kia Rio Interior Features
Changes have been made to the interior for the new Kia Rio. The interior is spacious and comfy and can hold up to five people with cloth seat decorations. Some of the interior options that come with this model include a cargo net, a cargo tray, carpet floor mats and an auto-dimming rear view mirror. The entertainment system is typical of most cars with normal radio access but also adds in satellite radio service for up to three months, auxiliary audio input and six audio speakers lining the interior, although the LX trim model only comes with four speakers. Cruise control is a standard comfort feature, as is air conditioning and electric power steering.
Kia Rio Safety Features
In terms of car safety, the 2019 Kia Rio has not shied away from adding in multiple features for security. Children have first priority when it comes to safety and this starts with the inclusion of rear door safety locks and child seat anchors for them. There are front, rear and dual front-side mounted airbags lining up the vehicle that activate in the event of a car accident. Traction and car stability have been improved, and though the Rio has better handling than last year's version, there are also ventilated front disc and rear brakes to keep the braking system fresh. In addition to this, the headlamps have an auto-delay off function added to them and dusk sensing capabilities that adjust to the different times of day.
