There are three different gas engine layouts available for the 2019 Kia Soul. The smallest of the three engine options is a 1.6-liter inline-four cylinder engine that is offered standard on lower-level Kia Soul trims. The 1.6-liter engine produces 130 horsepower and 118 pound-feet of torque. The largest of the three engine options is a 2.0-liter inline-four cylinder engine that produces 161 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. The third engine option is a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four cylinder engine that produces 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. Much like the engines there are three different transmission options available for the 2019 Soul, a standard six-speed manual transmission, a six-speed automatic transmission, and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The 2019 Kia Soul engine layouts that are driven by a six-speed manual transmission have been rated for 24 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway. The 2019 Soul engines that are mated to the two automatic transmission options are capable of achieving 26 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway.
The last of the engine options that Kia has included in the 2019 Kia Soul is an electric motor that produces 109 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque. The electric motor is only available in the Kia Soul EV trim. The motor has been rated for 124 miles per gallon electric (MPGe) in the city and 93 miles per gallon electric (MPGe) on the highway.
Kia Soul Interior and Technology
The 2019 Kia Soul offers a variety of features to occupants. There is seating for five in the Kia Soul and manually adjustable front seats are included standard on every Soul model. Cloth upholstery is included standard in the 2019 Soul but owners can upgrade to full-leather upholstery if desired. Heated front seats, heated rear seats, and ventilated front seats can also be added.
The infotainment system of the 2019 Kia Soul can be accessed through a 5-inch touchscreen display. Occupants can also access the infotainment system through a standard voice recognition system. For drivers that would like more Kia offers upgraded 7-inch and 8-inch touch-screen UVO infotainment systems to customers.
